Transporting you back to your childhood with these creamy and dreamy fudgesicles!

Fudgesicles are one of those foods that are so nostalgic for me. I vividly remember eating them on a hot summer's day, post swim, while they melted down my arm (then I would secretly clean my arm off in the pool... don't tell my mom).

I made these dairy-free for all my friends with sensitive tummies. But if you don't have coconut milk on hand and tolerate dairy, then you can easily substitute with cream (I recommend a heavy cream for maxiumum creaminess).

Overview: How to make dairy-free fudgesicles in 3 easy steps

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy and smooth.
  2. Pour into popsicles trays and freeze for at least 3 hours.
  3. Devour!

For more untraditional fudgesicles, you can fold in some some fun add-ins after blending like nuts, seeds, or fruit pieces.

The Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk (398 mL)
  • 3-5 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Optional add-ins: nuts, seeds, fruit pieces

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.
  2. Start with 3 tablespoons of maple syrup and adjust if needed. The amount you use will depend on how sweet you like them. If you are adding any of the optional add-ins, fold them in now.
  3. Pour into popsicle trays, insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 3 hours.
  4. Remove and enjoy! You may have to let them lightly defrost for around 5 minutes to remove them from the popsicle trays before eating.
