No Bake Sun Butter Bars

These bars are made with simple ingredients, are no bake, vegan, nut-free and gluten-free, and only take 2 easy steps to make!

Don't have sunflower seed butter on hand? You can sub with any nut butter of choice if nut allergies are not an issue.

The Recipe


  • 1 cup sunflower seed butter 
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 tbsp coconut flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Optional: Flaky salt and raw oats for sprinkling


  1. Prepare Base. Cream together sunflower seed butter, coconut oil and maple syrup. Stir in coconut flour and salt. Press evenly into a parchment lined loaf pan and place in freezer.
  2. Prepare Topping. Using a double boiler or microwave, melt together chocolate and coconut oil. If using a microwave, melt in 30 second increments. It should take about 1 minute to melt. Pour chocolate over base and spread evenly. Sprinkle with flaky salt and oats. Refrigerate or freeze for at least an hour to set. Cut into 8-10 squares and store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!
